EUROPARC 2012 – reconnecting society and nature

16th July, 2012

This year’s EUROPARC Federation annual conference explores the theme of re-connecting society and biodiversity, with a particular focus on the management of protected areas to mark the 20th anniversary of Natura 2000 and the LIFE programme.

The event takes place from Monday 22nd through to Thursday 25th October in the city of Genk, close to the Hoge Kempen National Park, in Belgium, and is hosted by the Regionaal Landschap Kempen en Maasland.

The conference focus is a European one: park managers and practitioners, representatives of the EU institutions, politicians, entrepreneurs, academics and consultants will share their knowledge and approach on how to (re)connect people with nature, business with biodiversity and policy with practice.

Full details of the programme, registration details and practical information are available at europarc2012.com.

Please note the deadline for the early bird discount has been extended to 31st August.
