Working Towards a Sustainable Future for our Nation’s Common Land: lessons learned from Our Upland Commons partnership programme
‘Our Upland Commons’ was a 4.5-year, £3m, 25-partner project that helped to secure the future of upland commons in Dartmoor National Park, the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the Lake District National Park and the Shropshire Hills National Landscape. It was led by the Foundation for Common Land and National Trust and ran from 2020 to 2025. This project was a practical package of works and activities designed to find ways through the complexity of upland commons.
Hear from Jo Swiers about some of these projects, the lessons learned and next steps for collective delivery on Common Lands that really works.
