PAVEL – Erasmus+

  • Protected Areas Vocational Education & Learning (PAVEL) programme

We are delighted that EAI is able to offer staff development and learning opportunities in European protected landscapes supported by the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme. The project began in July 2016 and runs until June 2018.

Staff from UK protected landscapes have the opportunity to undertake work related study visits for professional development to France, Germany, Latvia and the Netherlands.

This briefing explains more about the role of what sending and organisations can expect, their roles and how they can benefit from the programme.

Please use this application form to apply for places. A ‘buddy form’ will also be given to you shortly before your visit begins.

This page will be updated regularly with news of the programme and offers available.

We are pleased to announce offers in Germany, Latvia and the Netherlands.

For further details of the opportunities please click on the country link:

The visits cover a number of specific themes and successful applicants can also ask to look at a specific issue.

The benefits of being involved in such a study visit help to:

  • Facilitate and enhance learning that cannot be acquired within the UK
  • Inspire participants to share their experience in a European context with others
  • Motivate individuals and to support follow up on their experiences with further learning and development opportunities
  • Create opportunities for ongoing learning with European partners
  • Facilitate the sharing of the learning gained to a wider audience

Importantly, travel and subsistence is funded.
All applicants need to complete the attached application form with support from their line manager. Please read the briefing document before starting the process.  If you would like the opportunity to participate in this event and subsequent visits please send the completed application form to Anita Prosser (email address on form) by the end of each month as we have a rolling deadline and it will be first come first served.
